    Business Competitions 

…………. Prior to my recent television interview, my media friend Reena asked me about my competitors in business. When I told her that I have no competitors in business at least for few minutes she thought I was swaggering.

I know many new small organizations giving adverse publicity against other similar organizations in the same industry. They spend their productive hours in eavesdropping others business secrets. They travel miles to tarnish the reputation of their so-called competitors. They bury their time in blocking others contracts rather than trying to get one for themselves. 

They are like the typical Indian mother in law (I am sorry, I don’t know the case of mothers in law in other countries), who want to see the tears of her daughter in law even if it means losing her own son. Such organizations and people fear competition.

What I learned from my years of experience is, Uniqueness can eliminate competitions. People can follow only your style and they can never foresee your innovative ideas. If you still believe in competition, take that in a constructive way. While so called, competitors advertise a product like yours, be happy because they reduce your effort of educating the customers about the product. Ensure uniqueness in deliverance, you will never be the second option.

Rejection


         Rejection

I have seen many sales people getting disappointed when their proposals are rejected by their prospects. Sometimes such rejections make them so humiliated and they become totally shattered.


 But let me tell you, there is nothing to be desperate and shattered, because you are not the first one getting rejected.  This world might have experienced more rejections than acceptance. They have rejected Socrates, Galileo, Copernicus, Plato, Jesus Christ, Gandhi, Steve Jobs, Colonel Sanders and many more. … Believe me, most of the rejections are not due to lack of innovation in your ideas but due to their ego.


                          Desperate not on rejections, because it is easy for a person to say No than saying Yes and accepting new ideas. One of the major differences between successful people and the mediocre one is, while successful people promote changes, mediocre people falsely attempt to establish themselves through rejections because they are ruled by wrong perception, obstinacy and ego.


 Remember, those who resist changes are overdue for changes and those who reject innovation are due for renovation.

Freedom from any sort of captivity has never been a gift. It was always a result of compulsion and dedicated efforts. People are captive of various influences and dominance. Unending quest for freedom makes escape quick and possible. Certain silence leads to or is misunderstood as submission. Submission without expression of opinion is nothing but acceptance and certain acceptance in future will lead to exploitation and slavery.
 
Dare to speak out because your opinion may serve as an eye opener or lantern during decision making. Believe me, your silence where voice is essential, serves none but exploiters.

Mind it, neither any country nor people are superior to you in any way. The royalty they claim is nothing but your undue admiration to them. Respect and regard people but let not our respect and regard be considered as fear and ignorance.

Dare to say No, where to say so because your liberal approach will hardly bring liberty to any…….

Wrong decisions


Wrong decisions


There is an old saying, “There are two ways to eliminate your enemy. Either you kill him for ever or avoid him completely”. It is difficult to remove three feelings or tendencies completely from this world, jealousy, hatred, and backstabbing. We all are victims of above feelings. Those three things are the root cause of every problem and issue in this world.

Since the difference in opinion is common and unavoidable, it would be difficult to be free from other’s enmity. It is not the absence of enmity but the way we tackle the same that brings peace. While successful people act prior to situations, mediocre people react on it.

Since every action creates reactions and reactions create further reactions, the best way to be free from the issue is to avoid certain actions which can create further reaction.
Till the above three things are there in this world, it would be difficult to eliminate something permanently from here. Today or tomorrow again the same issue will pop up that too sometimes more strongly.

A decision to eliminate something, will definitely invite reactions and such decision will serve as wrong decision for long.

People do commit mistakes because they are captives of above three tendencies. It is better to avoid them …. so that the peace of mind is not lost.

Intentions and actions


Intentions and actions  

---- It is not our intentions but actions that reveal who we are. Common people expect others to treat them well despite their unpleasant behavior or actions. 
 
                   The reactions and turbulence of certain actions would be beyond the expectation and the ripples created by such actions may convert itself to into raging tides in no time. 

It is essential to have control on our actions because people judge others on their actions than intentions. Common people value and respect good actions irrespective of its intention. For them a good action is more acceptable than wrong actions with good intentions. 

There are many parents who fail to convey their right intention to their wards while scolding them for their poor academic performances. Also, there are many job seekers who enquire about their new organization and its integrity through wrong channels. … Even though the intentions of both parties are right, they attract wrath than compliance, objections than supports and rejections than acceptance.
                              Majority of the common men make judgements based on what is in front of them than what really, they should consider. Let our action reflect our intention so that we receive more acceptance than rejection ……..

                 .......I really feel pity on those employees who always bury their valuable time in worrying about their job security. Cases of job seekers are also not different. Most of them are in search of ‘secured jobs’. Unfortunately, they don’t realize the truth about themselves that they are just ‘shelter seekers’ and not ‘skill sellers’. In fact, there are two types of employees- ‘shelter seekers’ and ‘skill sellers’.

For shelter seekers, the term JOB means, merely Joining in Other’s Business. Since average people are more self- absorbed it would be difficult for them to contribute more to Other’s Business. Even though, they have short terms goals and don’t believe in their own capabilities they still take up their jobs and finally they become a liability to their organization than an asset.

                  Skill sellers are confident in their abilities and they try to realize their passion at each moment of their work. They hate repetition and prefer innovation. They value their talents more than their employers and those who value themselves better become indispensable to the organization...........
